As a "newbie" it really speaks to me and gives me a simple perspective on complicated rituals and workings. I like the tone in which it is written and love the cover art (although it continues throughout the entire book). I agree, I judge books by how I feel about them. Sometimes I am dead-on and sometimes I am quite wrong. This book just looked perfect for me, so I borrowed it from the library. (I would have bought it if I had money)

I say "Yay!" to you for finding a book that makes sense to you!Irishttp://irisawakened.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2937335840707686978.post-75932061186383235622009-10-28T13:57:24.324-05:002009-10-28T13:57:24.324-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Mother Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04766732525579692530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2937335840707686978.post-18431453131789164692009-10-28T13:57:23.824-05:002009-10-28T13:57:23.824-05:00the little things seem to be the most precious... ...the little things seem to be the most precious... at least to me... i mean if you can't find a smile in the little things.. because whose to say when a big thing may come along.... :-)Mother Moonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04766732525579692530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2937335840707686978.post-27938234578599228792009-10-28T10:07:00.364-05:002009-10-28T10:07:00.364-05:00I've read some Silver Ravenwolf...I don't ...I've read some Silver Ravenwolf...I don't mind her in the least.

I think we can all take what we need from a book and leave the other stuff right where we found it. :)

Glad you found so many treasures in one day. Although it was a bit on the "fluffy bunny" side and catered more towards the younger generation that was coming out at the time of the book, it was still a good book for young kids new to the craft.

I, for one, am a HUGE fan of Silver RavenWolf and will always read her books. I think I have all of them except for the one you mentioned (another bookstore trip for me!).

I do not use any books as a "one and only way", but her books are still very good and accurate. In my opinion she is of the same caliber as Gerina Dunwich, Patricia Telesco and Kristin Madden. All very popular authors and very good at what they do.Christinehttp://www.paganwitch.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2937335840707686978.post-89444777880407200932009-10-25T12:48:51.213-05:002009-10-25T12:48:51.213-05:00I may have to pick this one up! The moment I walk in I get a feeling of being right where I want to be.

They have this table where they stall their latests books and even outside they have a stall with postcards which even are so special. It are cards you can send to a friend and which has an old fashioned picture of people, often kids, black and white coloured, ok, not coloured maybe is better, but they have quotes on it which are so special.

Inside they have a certain peace which is like a library. I should go there again sometime.

Q magazine is great, I have seen the most amazing stories in it. There is a bookstore at a train station not far from where I live where they have a great volume of international magazines.

You gave me some reading messages Janie with this blog, I wanna pick up a book again, it is grey and raining and a good day for it.Rob the Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08376602434438128763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2937335840707686978.post-16874617933702557602009-10-24T06:32:44.273-05:002009-10-24T06:32:44.273-05:00That bookstore sounds fantastic.. To put it nicely. Many of the claims she makes in her books are so incorrect they border on ludicrous, and she spreads quite a bit of misinformation and wrong information.

Though now I'm rather curious to see this book myself, even if I'm not Wiccan. -plots a trip down to Powells-

If you ever make it out to Portland, OR, make sure you go to Powells.
