Goddess Pocket Journal &

Just an update on the 31 Days of Yule Giveaway.  Today on day three there are two great giveaways.  First is the Goddess Pocket Journals from Paper Fetish.  I just love the name as I have somewhat of a paper fetish... You may want to visit her store if  you are likewise.  She has some truly beautiful handmade journals... And if you are like me, well you can never have too many journals.  So head on over to Paper Fetish Designs and check her out.

Next is this adorable Toddler Shirt.  I love elephants. They are good luck you know.  However you always want an elephant with his trunk upwards as if it is pointing downward the luck will all run out... It is created by Lemon drop Bay on Esty.  All babies... something I am interested in with a new grandbaby on the way...

Full Moon Fever

A beautiful full moon could be seen this evening.  As in most colder months it was clear and crisp to the eye and the yellow hue was upon it.  As I watched it rise, I could not help but be amazed by its beauty... No matter how many full moons I watch rise I still can not get over how absolutely beautiful she always is.  Yet I am a moon child what can I say.  I love the sun in all its warmth and brillance yet the moon holds a special place in my heart.  It never fails each month for the few days before and after she is full I will awake in the night as she travels over the night sky.  Her glow shining through my window as if to beckon  me to come out and play with her.  I have sat many a night just gazing at her all alone.  She is definately a part of me.

I also think that as she changes through each month that some of us feel her stronger than others.  The waxing and wanings of each month seem to hold more importance to our demeanors.  Also the new and full moon effect us in their special ways.  The full moon always has me at a heightened emotional state.  If I allow myself to lose track of this sometimes it can catch me off guard and cause the emotions to run even higher.  Also I tend to flow with the full moon so it is a fun time in my house whenever the moon is in all her glory....

I find it funny how women tend to be more moved by the moon than men.  Not that I think the moon does not effect the male species, I just think that as women are emotional creatures, likewise the moon holds that place.  Perhaps some of my highly emotional state is due to the season.  Although I have tried to keep myself busy and tell myself that all is well I know deep down that it is not as right as rain.  I am not a person to spill all her worries and woes out to others... A tough girl that is me... Yet so many of you have opened up and I have admired so your courage to do that.  It is friends that help one to get through such things.  Yet for those who know me best know I try my hardest to be an optimist.

I believe it can have a profound effect on ones situation.  I learned long ago it does nothing to worry.  Yet I have also learned that I do not lean on my friends enough.  Yet this was suppose to be a post about the moon wasn't it, not about me and my emotional state.....And like me it has become another rambling.  Yet it has been an odd day for me..not exactly sure why....Yet I will leave you with a wish for a warm night inside (as it is currently 33 here and terribly windy... brrr) with loved ones, and a nice night sleep.  And may you have clear skys so that you too can have a glimpse of the beautiful woman that graces our skys this evening...

Random Ramblings

Well December is finally here.... And for us it came in with a bang.  November was so mild with above normal temperatures it definately had me spoiled.  I have even been picking my roses occasionally and placing them on my kitchen window sill.  I think I may have picked my last one today.  The rain came in this afternoon and the colder temperatures are to follow.  A possibility of snow for the next few days is also forecast.  Winter or at least the cold weather is upon us.

Yet the colder weather does make it seem more like Yule.  If you are lucky enough to have a fire place, you know that no matter how much you love a nice fire, if its not cold enough it just isn't the same.  Unless of course you turn on the air conditioner quite low and light it up.. Something I have done once or twice in my life.  ( I love a good fire)  Plus as I have stated so many times previous, I am totally unable to get into a good cooking mood, especially for baking unless it is cold outside.  I am hoping to start all that good stuff up the later part of the week, when the freezing temps make their way in .

I worked outdoors today, mainly because I knew that the coming days would not allow me to do so... Finishing up on the runes that I need to send to Heather & Bridgett, filling my bird feeders with ample seed as the birds always are hungrier when its cold, and just enjoying the last of the sun for a few days.  I rescued a bird from my cats again.  I truly thought that I would be able to save this one, yet it passed.  Vincent was so kind and built a small wooden box for me to bury it out under the elm with the other small animals (mainly birds) I have tried to save.  I have my own little pet  cemetary.  I'm sure my neighbors think I'm the crazy lady on the block.

My daughter called today to let me know that the dr. has requested she have a second ultra sound.  The one she had last week, determining that my 3rd grandbaby will be a boy, showed he was a bit small.  The dr. thinks that the due date is just off yet wants to make sure.  So of course me being the gg I am... I will not rest until it is verified...

Then of course its the Yule Sesaon....

Blessings to All
