The Grassy Owl

When my oldest son was small, he would marvel at the large round bails of hay that would line the fields in summer & fall.  He called them "grassy tires".  This term stuck with me and still to this day I call them this.
Recently I spied this creation not far from home and had to share.  Another festive inexpensive way to celebrate the season.

Now that is a neat idea. I remember visiting my inlaws in KY years ago when our children were little. My daughter refered to the bales of hay as "random blobs of hay."

Apparently when my husband was younger, his mom used to tell him that the hay bales were actually rolls of toilet paper for the giants who live in the nearby trees...

He still keeps his eyes peels - just in case!

It's quite the small things that give such simplistic pleasures. The felicity of it all astounds me.

Blessings.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I love it. I'm waiting to see what Halloween will be like in Korea... I'm guessing everything will be confined to the base.

Well, it's October 1. Time to decorate!!!
