Still Running

I remember looking at my calendar last week and seeing each square filled some form of activity for the next couple weeks.  All the events to come were to be joyous ones... my son's wedding, visits from my other children, a trip to visit and spend fun time with my grand kids, and so on.  Yet still I knew that for the next couple of weeks my usual normal routine life would be somewhat of a disarray.  I would not be able to get up leisurely each morning around 6:30 or 7:00 am... enjoy the sunrise with Winston while I drank that first cup of coffee.  I would also not have the few hours each morning to read and reply to the many blogs that I enjoy keeping up with so much as well as keeping my own writings up to date.

I would have to accept the fact that many of my everyday activities would fall by the wayside for a bit.  I am a creature of habit and sometime such things as this can drive me crazy.  Yet I also know that a bit of a change now and then is good for the soul.  It mixes things up a bit and allows you to not become too stagnant in life.

Soon I will be back to normal... whatever that really is.  So for those of you whose blogs I have not visited in a bit... please be patient with me... I am trying to make the rounds.... And sometimes a simple read is all I can do.

And to be honest... I wouldn't trade a little October time with my grand kids for anything.  Trips to pumpkin patches and rolling around in the colorful fallen leaves of autumn are just too much fun...

Well then, I appreciate your recent visit and comment all the more! Even though months like October are busy, it sounds like wonderful one of a kind events. Definitely worth mixing up the normal routine. :)

It sounds like life has been hectic in a great way for you. Enjoy your time out and about this season, it always goes by so quickly.

I hope the wedding was spectacular! I realized in my previous comment, I mistakenly wrote my anniversary was the 9th, but it's really the 10th. Shh... don't tell the husband. ;)

Sounds like you're having a great October. Enjoy those grandkids. Nothing like the awe and wonder in their eyes at this time of year.

You must spend October-time with the grandkids! This is the best time of year to get them outdoors and take plenty of photos. I'll be taking my neices out to the farm stands/pumpkin patches soon too.

I hope the wedding was wonderful!

Hugs - and enjoy your October!

I believe family comes first even if it's a little disrupting which I can understand. I look forward to hearing all about the family fun and it sounds like you're allowing yourself to revel in pleasure with them. Enjoy, Mother Moon :)

I feel exactly the same way about routine, especially my morning routine which is much like yours! I sometimes can't wait for vacation to be over so that I can get back to the routine!!!

what's wrong with me??? :)

Hi Janie.
The events that changed your routine for a while all seemed to be joyous events. I sometimes feel the same way and then once I am in the midst of doing what it was that took me away from "my routine", I found I was thoroughly enjoying myself.
How blessed you are to have grandchildren to enjoy during these beautiful, cool, Autumn days. I pray for the miracle of a grandchild one day.
I hope the wedding was joyous!

You are doing exactly what you should be doing - enjoying your life!

Oh, and if you ever find out what "normal" is, I bet a lot of us would like to know!

Have a wonderful October!

I'm a creature of habit too, and being absent from routines is hard for me. It's so good that you can step back though, and see what's truly important. You already know it's your precious grandkids. :) Blogging will always be there, but these days in their youth are numbered. Enjoy them!

Autumn softly wraps magic arms around us; reminding us of all things good.

Autumn/fall brings out the best in me. It looks the same for you.

I've been away; on journey for a new apartment; the universe showered me with blessings; a new apartment now exists, with me inside!

Life was lonely without my blog friends.
