One Little Word - with so many possibilities

I can not believe I am posting another post today yet there seems to be much on my mind..... Either that or I just can't keep my mouth shut... either way, Im back again.    In my readings today in blog land I ran across a post on Deep Inside My Broom Closet.  It spoke of choosing for yourself one little word to represent the coming year.  It was one of those things that well, I just could not get out of my mind and continually I kept thinking what my one word would be.

Many ran through my mind such as: productive, blessed, encouraging and so on... yet none of them exactly jump up at me.... So many things I see in the coming year.... so many "Possibilities" I had found my word.... I see so many things before me.  Opportunities to evolve and grow and move on down the path I have chosen to take.  Whether it be in my relationships, my craft, my writing, whatever there are endless possibilities for me to take advantage of.

The key is what will I do with all the possiblities before me.  Will I allow them to come and go.... to slip through my fingers and then wonder why they did not evolve into more.  Or will I seize them, grab hold and let them take me where they will.  Will I be willing to put the work and time into them that many of them will require for them to blossom to their full potential.  I am a procrastinator at heart.  Something I am not too proud of yet it is a part of me.... I have never truly tried to overcome this trait.  Maybe 2010 is the year to start.

I hope that this time next year when I look back again at all the obsticles I have overcome, all the parts of my life which I have grown in and the new ones I have added, I hope that I can truly feel like I took advantage of the possibilities that were placed before me.

What is your one little word.... think about it... you may be surprised what you are led to realize.... Blessings.

I'm picking "aperture" which is an opening or hole. On a camera it is the opening that lets the light into the camera. I'm setting my aperture to let more light in and look at the world in a brighter way.

I saw that post too and I've been thinking all day of what word I want to focus on this coming year. I like the one you've chosen. I can't wait to read/see what you do with your "possibilities". :)

I am a horrible procrastinator as well..and it is something I am constantly having to work on.

I have not seen this post yet, but I am going to check it out, it seems to be causing a stir in blog land...and it is something I will need to reflect on.

I hope the coming year is full of wonderful possibilities for you!

Now see there, you've made my brain work overtime again. Read your blog earlier and have given it some thought.
I think my word is opportunity. I've missed so many in past years, or run away from some when I should have embraced them. I shall not make that mistake, or misstep this year. I will embrace the negative and postive opportunities to be me, at all times (warts, wrinkles, fat and all) but most especially when I should be shining instead of hiding. I do that. I believe it is called self deprecation. I have denied my talent, my humor, my wit, my love and my intentions for far too long. Carpe diem, for real. Thanks Janie, this was a very productive exercise.
ps I'm glad I tickle your funny bone from time to time, that thrills me.

Yes, a good word. Change is a wonderful thing and the word possibilities opens the door to that.

I, too, love you word. I just couldn't think of a word until I started typing this...My word would be "Living"....appreciating life and everything it has to offer, working through the bad times and rejoicing in the good.

Hmmmmm, I have been trying to avoid certain thinkings about the upcoming year. I think I need an attitude adjustment. I am sighing, thinking about a word.....thanks for the kick in the pants!

That's a very good word, indeed. =) I read the same post and my brain too started skipping over itself thinking about what word I would choose to represent my experience of the next year.

After some thought, I think the word I would choose is "thrive."

I hope that the new year is full of beautiful possibilities for you, and that you find all the blessings you hope for in embracing them. =)

Life is so full of possibilities. And all too often we let those possibilities pass us by.

I must ponder this.....
Thank you for sharing.
Happy New Year!

Your word is great, as are the others. Makes it hard to choose.

I think mine will be "progress". It fits just about every aspect of my life right now and I need to move forward and make progress instead of looking back...

Thanks for this post!
