Eat Pray And Love - The Giveaway

I guess that I was looking for a good reason to start another giveaway. After writing the previous post, I could think of nothing more than to do just that. Everyone has an Eat, Pray and Love. Personally I think it is a great idea to examine this concept to the fullest. Now not all of us have the capability of zooming off for a year out of our lives to research this yet there are little things that we can do every day to do just that.

This giveaway is designed to help a bit with that adventure. The winner will receive a copy of Elizabeth Gilberts book “Eat Pray and Love” among other goodies to help them explore this further. Now for the fun part:

To enter all one has to do is leave a comment stating what your Eat Pray and Love is. Be precise as this will have a lot to do with the goodies that will eventually be in the winner’s goodie box.

Adding the giveaway button and/or blogging about the giveaway will also give you the possibility of a couple more chances to win. If you do, please remember to leave an extra comment and also a link to the post. Lastly please if your email is not accessible per your profile, please leave it within your comments. My last giveaway, I had a chosen winner that I was not able to contact due to this and had to draw a new one.

The winner will be chosen on September 1st. Look forward to hearing all your great answers…

What a beautiful review. Can you please review my book when the time comes? In fact you should write some books; you certainly have a gift with words.
I am a new visitor and follower via One Day at a Time..and she was right I am happy I stopped by.
I would honestly say my eat; pray and love are quite the same as yours..I love food and will try anything once but when it comes down to an absolute favorite it will always be Italian. My pray is certainly sitting alone feeling part of nature; I always seem to find the answer there. As far as love..my soul mate and husband..my kids and hands down my grand babies all 11 of them who every day seem to give me a renewed hope for the future of humanity.
I hope when you get the chance you will stop by and say hello!

What a great book EH? I loved it too and could not put it down!
My eat was italy- some of the best food I have ever had in my life and it had the taste of fresh.
Also the Jam I got from you, mmmmmmmmmmmmm!and something I haven't had in forever, gramma's white milk bacon gravy and fresh biscuits.
My pray is nature and the big one is my art, it is my biggest and my best prayer ever. Also viewing other's art is almost as good as making my own.
My love is my grand daughter, she rocks my world, my heart melts when she smiles.
Then everybody else, my hubby, my kids, my parents, I am very lucky to like my family and even my hubbys family.
I am also very very lucky to have some incredible women in my life too, blog and artists, very blessed.

I haven't read the book or seen the movie yet. I hope to do both. In thinking about how to answer what my "Eat Pray Love" is, it seems I'm finding Eat the easiest to answer...well almost. :D

My Eat: Pasta! Dark Chocolate but not too bitter, especially the kind that has raspberries in it. Ghiridelli's chocolate! Chocolate Truffles. Herbal teas, English Breakfast (does that count as eat? Got to have something to wash it all down with, LOL) Herbs and spices. A rich, creamy cheesecake. If I could ever travel to explore I'd want to go to Ireland,Italy, India, China, Poland, Ukraine, Japan, any where to please the pallet with culinary delights.

My Pray: Being new to the Pagan Path, I am still seeking what works for me. I love to be out on my deck in the morning to hear and see the birds, the occasional gecko, the butterflies. I love to be out on nights when the moon is full and just gaze upon it while basking in the moonlight silently speaking to the Goddess. There used to be a little clearing in the patch of woods behind the house, that was almost a perfect circle I used to like to visit.
If I could ever travel to explore the path I feel so drawn to, I would go to England, to Glastonbury to see the Chalice Well and The Tor, to see Stonehenge and other sacred sites, and to Ireland/Scotland.

My Love: My two girls simply because they love their Momma no matter what. My Beloved whom I wish more than anything I can be with instead of miles apart. Because he accepts me as I am, with my ups and downs, my flaws, my past and my present. He doesn't try to change me, he loves me as I am and supports me in everything I dream to do. And my furries (2 cats and 1 Yorkie).

Oh I so would love to enter this !
my eat is difficult as a person who always had trouble eating , not much appettie at all I always found it hard to fit in with the north american way of eating 3 times or more a day . I guess my eat is real food . I love the real thing , simple , I like fresh foods best , fruits more then veggies. I am trying to enjoy local things as I know ethicly this is the best choice however maybe my medditeranian roots make me crave pomigranite & papaya & dates . I find it hard to eat an apple . how does one find contentment in that which is not pleasing to the palate ☺ I do not wish to turn this into a guilt myself thing , but rather a find new ways thing , surely there must be a way I can learn to eat a plum and enjoy it ☺
my pray is forever always , this is an area in my life I tend to find hard to not be in ☺ some have even said to me "oh I wish I could pray all day , I wish that could be my job " not realizing how it is like any job , if it is truely your work there are times of burden , times of tiring , there are times I find it hard to leave my prayer and come back into the world .For I love my world when it is a forever prayer . There was a time in my life when I denied myself of this gift and now I hope never ever to return to not having prayer in my life .
my love is my life , all that is in it , all that has happened in it . like anyone there are times I can fall into the not liking being me , however for certain I do not long to be another ☺ I am happy & love being the me I am created to be . All the gifts of others , nature , all as a whole . true fullfilment I believe is this a true & real life . This is my true love ☺

I'm one of those people who love to eat...too much...but if I really had to choose, it would be Rocky Road Ice Cream. LOL!!! E pray daily for peace and healing in the world. Love...I'm with my soulmate...the love of my life. What more could a woman want?

I must say that the eat part is easy--I am vegetarian. I will try most anything that is veggie. I am however partial to home grown foods. Pray--my church is my world, the outside in mother nature learning from her animals, plants, elements, and all natural things. Love--is my family. My parents, my son, my animals. This is a wonderful giveaway you are having. Thanks.

I stumbled upon your site and just loved seeing you honor Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat, Pray, Love book with a giveaway. I just finished reading her book Committed. I relate very much to her style of writing and the process of self-discovery throughout Eat, Pray, Love. I can't wait to see the movie tomorrow night.
My EAT...I LOVE to try "new" dishes and always love something with a little zip to it. I also from time to time need a good comforting pasta dish. Comfort food is my friend!
My PRAY...ahhhh...nature. I live in Michigan and am most inspired and refreshed when I spend time on Lake Michigan. The beach is my summer home.
My LOVE...My children, family and friends!!! I am blessed to have a great ensemble of family and friends.

Have a wonderful day!

Oh my... You make me think too much, lol! Can you believe I haven't read this book yet? I'm always one step behind on these things... So this is a great chance to try my chance! :o)

My eat, pray and love... As if I could say only one for each, talkative as I am... I'll try though!
My eat... When I think about it, I think of comfort food, like pasta, simple pasta with a good Italian sauce. And chocolate of course, this is hors-concours, my only addiction.
My pray, my connexion with Nature/Gods. If there's something that give me comfort as well is my daily mind prayers/talks while I'm doing my stuff at home, when I'm walking in the streets, anywhere. I love being pagan, I feel comfortable and at home with it, and simply looking up at the skies or around me gives me the safe sensation I so need.
My love, guess what? :o) My little witch, who changed everthing in my life when he was born. I fight everyday to be a better person because of him. And my family, my mother and my siblings. They're my pack.

I could go on and on and on here, but you'd sleep! Loved this, such food for thought, thank you for another generous gift for all of us!

Kisses and love from us.

Well....this has given me much to think about. First of all....the book is fantastic and my copy has been hijacked and kept by my daughter so I need a new copy for myself...hee hee. I just saw the movie today and it was excellent. My daughter was worried it wouldn't be as good as the book...and even she liked it. She did say that she likes her visions of it that are in her own mind from reading the book. I however loved the movie....I like the visuals.....it was beautiful.

My Eat.....I love bread and pasta.....but my favorite foods are breakfast foods....eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, biscuits and gravy....yyyuuummm.
My Pray.....The beach.....being at the beach.....listening to the waves.....feeling the sand in my toes.....and at night is even better.....with a full moon to talk to.
My Love....I would have to say my kids....my girls are what keep me going sometimes when life isn't so nice.

I confess I haven't previously had anything to do with Eat, Pray, Love, but after reading your post on it I'm reconsidering.
My Eat: Dove or Ghiridelli's Milk Chocolate...though their darks are also delicious! Also most Italian and Japanese cooking.
My Pray: Anything creative, anything Celtic/Norse, anything Nature. As while in Nature, that time when I am creating something is when I am able to universally connect. Celtic/Norse mythos (and art) provide foundation for my path and what screen I look at the world through.
My Love: Well my guy of course. :-) But more than that, I love beauty in all its forms. I know, very general, but true. I find a wizened aged face as beautiful as a bright young one, a piece of blown glass as breathtaking as a waterfall, vibrant color as vital as fascinating shape/movement.

I look forward to however you customize the package, whoever wins!

I have yet to read this book but would really love to. The premise behind it is so appealing to me.

My eat- dark chocolate, well actually chocolate in any form.

My pray- the Goddess, the Mother of all.

My love- my kids

Cause I am a dork I posted this on the wrong post.... HA! Silly me. SO here is my entry posted on the CORRECT post now:

I haven;t read the book yet or seen the movie.... it's on my to do list! It sounds wonderful.

My eat would be.... that's a hard one! Food is such a part of my life. With my husband being a chef I have tried tons of different foods. Chocolate ranks up there as being one of my fave things to eat. But also, I am a major cheese lover. Fondue, cheese pizza, blue cheese on my salads.... anyting italian, baked brie, you name it. Cheese might be my favorite.

Pray is simple for me. Nature. Being out in the open in the middle of the beauty of the world around us. Also nighttime with the bright stars and full moon. Nothing makes me feel closer to the divine.

Love is a complex issue. I could say my husband or my children but I think right now my love is myself. I am processing many thoughts and emotions lately and trying very hard to get back that self love that got me through the tough years. Loving yourself is so necessary to loving anyone else!

What a fabulous giveaway, I love the inspiration! :)

Eat: A delicious shortbread and black coffee. That combo puts a smile on my face. ;)

Pray: Right now, it's for my cats. I'm obsessively concerned and praying for their health and safety (since I just lost one of my furbabies in a tragic accident).

Love: This moment. My boyfriend, our sweet old house, creating art, our kitties, being with my family, our health.

How wonderfully fabulous this is! I am new to your lovely blog. What a great offer. I will try to be specific for you:

Eat: Food is to be savored and enjoyed. I adore cooking and discovering new cuisines. My favorite food is Indian - the exotic and warm scents of curries and cardamom and garam masala. Cooking and baking is like art to me - I enjoy finding new and exciting recipes with interesting flavor combinations.

Pray: Everyone prays in different ways. Spirituality is a deeply personal thing - and it can manifest in different ways. I may not follow a specific path, but I am secure in my beliefs and it has guided me through my darkest hours.

Love: I love every minute on this great earth of ours - and all that it offers. I love the sun, the moon, the stars. I love nature - being able to explore our earth and drink in all its beauty. I share this love with my husband, who shares in this passion. We enjoy exploring together.

Thank you again for hosting such a delightful giveaway!
